It's that time of year again (and I think we're all happy about that this year!) where we need that extra bit of motivation to get outside into the cold weather and hit that big distance we've been training for, be it the 3km, 5km, 10km or half marathon. Choose your distance to be completed in a single activity during December but please try to complete it before the 14th so we can do our best to get it to you before Santa arrives!
We are releasing the same Christmas snow globe medal as 2019 as it was much loved and we've had lots of you asking if it would be made available again! The snow globe has an epoxy covering to make it look realistic, along with a 3D metal base. Lean this medal up on a windowsill or hang it on your tree to show off your running achievements.
We are in the process of changing how we raise money for charity. This will come into place January '21 but in the mean time, we will be donating 10% of all entry fees for each event to a chosen charity. There will be no more donations leaderboard for the time being for extra voluntary donations while we change the system around. The chosen charity for this event is Action For Children. This amazing charity has a 'Secret Santa' scheme that helps provide food, clothes and shelter to all children during the cold, Christmas period.
For the Christmas virtual run, we will be giving away 10 lucky draw Prize Boxes of RFTW goodies worth £25. All runners who complete their chosen distance will be entered into the draw for a chance to win these great prizes.
