Part 4 of the Run The Continents series takes us to South America. This continent is extremely diverse as it ranges from more than 10 degrees north of the equator all of the way down to 55 degrees south (not far from the beginning of Antarctica!). This means that the range of wildlife, scenery and styles of living is huge. South America has a land area of about 17.8million square km so your challenge is to accumulate 178km in your own time to earn your medal.
*Please note that only one accumulation style 'Open' event can be synced at one time. See FAQs for more information.
South America has so many iconic places ranging from natural wonders to immense man-made structures and exotic animals to beautiful landscapes. For this medal, we have narrowed it down to Machu Pichu (a must visit!) in Peru, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, an exotic toucan and a cute llama.
